Reviving Tradition, Sailing Towards Tomorrow
WeSail was born from a deep love of the sea and a desire to preserve the rich maritime heritage of Saint-Martin. Our story began when founder LAKE Sébastien, as a child, would watch his grandfather — a fisherman and proud traditional sailboat owner — repair, paint, and sail his boat across the island’s waters. Those nights waiting for the boat to return, trophies in hand, left a mark that would later become a mission.
Today, WeSail organizes traditional boat races, cultural events, and educational programs aimed at reconnecting the community with its nautical roots. Our goal is to revive and sustain traditional sailing, not just as a sport, but as a living symbol of identity, pride, and intergenerational knowledge. Through storytelling, competition, and craftsmanship, we’re creating a movement that honors the past while inspiring the next generation to take the helm.
